Gallery Hayashi brought a selection bridging 20th-century Japanese art with the thrust of contemporary expression, featuring artists such as Genki Yamashita, known for his vibrant, abstract charcoal and crayon-filled canvases; Hisao Domoto, a pioneer of the postwar abstract movement; Midori Arai, who explores intricate, colorful body motion patterns in her paintings; Reina Mikame, celebrated for her serene, minimalist paintings; and Toshimitsu Imai, whose bold, emotive strokes capture the dynamic essence of modern existential conflict.
