Jungwon Phee (b. 1993, South Korea) develops abstract painting through layered surfaces and restrained color palettes, exploring memory, displacement, and identity shaped by transnational experiences. His works emphasize material density and subtle ruptures, suggesting emotional and historical narratives embedded within the painted surface.

Phee received a BFA in Fine Arts and a BA in Art History from Pratt Institute, New York. The artist’s work has been exhibited at SOMA Drawing Center (Seoul), GALLERY HAYASHI + ART BRIDGE (Tokyo), Seojung Art (Seoul), Space Hyeong (Seoul), The Reference (Seoul), and Seongnam Cube Museum (Seongnam). Phee lives and works between Seoul, South Korea, and New York, USA.
